Agricultural waste transforms into eco-friendly flights: At Tiryaki Agro, we reshape every value the land gives us through the principles of the circular economy.
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)
The aviation sector—one of the most challenging industries globally in terms of carbon-emission reduction—is undergoing a major transformation toward net-zero goals.
According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) roadmap, the industry is expected to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
One of the most effective solutions to achieve this goal is the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
At Tiryaki Agro, we act with the responsibility of being a part of this global transition.
By combining our agricultural expertise with our environmental responsibility and circular-economy vision, we focus on the supply of feedstock for SAF production.
Derived from sustainable resources such as waste oils, agricultural residues, cellulosic materials, and organic household waste, SAF offers up to 80% lower carbon emissions compared to fossil fuels—making it a powerful tool in combating climate change.
Tiryaki SAF
Within this scope, under a preliminary investment agreement valued at approximately USD 100 million, we aim to establish feedstock pre-treatment and purification facilities to ensure the long-term and reliable supply of raw materials for SAF production.
Through our R&D initiatives on converting plant-based residues into fuel, we continue to develop innovative and eco-friendly solutions.
Our SAF investments not only enhance Turkey’s capacity for sustainable fuel production but also translate circular-economy principles into tangible action by reintegrating agricultural waste into the economy.
These efforts stand among the high-impact examples contributing both to the reduction of environmental impacts and to Turkey’s green-transition vision.
