Umm Qasr

Established in Umm Qasr, Iraq’s only deep-water port with direct access to the Arabian Gulf, our integrated facility positions Tiryaki Agro not merely as a trading company, but as an actor building production capacity, regional development, and sustainable agricultural systems.

Commissioned in 2024 with financing support from IFC, the facility operates as a strategic production, logistics, and export hub within Iraq’s agricultural sector. Built on an area of 150,000 square meters, the facility features a soy processing infrastructure with an annual capacity of 900,000 tons, including a daily soybean crushing capacity of 3,000 tons, making it one of the highest-capacity infrastructures in the Middle East. The majority of its output consists of soybean meal used in the feed industry and soybean oil for export markets.

With direct access to port infrastructure as well as road and rail connections, the facility enables seamless connectivity to production centers in northern Iraq and to the Gulf and Levant regions, allowing products to reach a wide geography extending from Iraq to Central Asia.

Equipped with 126,000 tons of silo capacity, a closed processing unit, and a deep-water port capable of handling vessels up to 50,000 DWT, the facility functions as a major logistics hub, contributing to regional development, food security, and the expansion of export potential. Positioned at the core of Tiryaki Agro’s sustainable growth vision, the Umm Qasr Integrated Production and Logistics Facility is set to play a long-term and defining role in regional agricultural supply through planned future investments, including the commissioning of flour, pulses, and rice production lines in the coming years.
