Tiryaki Farming
Tiryaki Agriculture is the agricultural company within Tiryaki Anadolu and represents Turkey’s largest private sector farming organization. We are building a production model that looks to the future. Our purpose is not only to grow crops but also to protect the fertility of the soil and secure the future of agriculture through sustainable methods.
Our main production site is the Muş Alparslan Agricultural Enterprise. At this facility, we produce certified wheat seeds, oilseeds, sugar beet, and pulses. The Alparslan Agricultural Enterprise covers sixty five thousand decares of land, which accounts for about four percent of the Muş Plain and nearly one point seven percent of all arable land in the region.
At the Muş Alparslan Agricultural Enterprise, we have built one of the largest and most advanced irrigation systems ever established by the private sector in Turkey. The smart irrigation system draws water from the Murat River and holds it in five caissons that are fifteen meters deep. After purification, the water is distributed by five large pumps through a network that is seventy six and a half kilometers long, including a main transmission line of four and a half kilometers and seventy two kilometers of underground pipelines. The network can irrigate thirteen thousand decares, which equals about twenty percent of the cultivable land within the enterprise. Irrigation has already started on five thousand decares, and by the two thousand twenty five season, we plan to irrigate the entire area. Depending on the type of crop and the water requirement, the smart system provides up to thirty percent water savings and up to seventy percent higher productivity.
Regenerative Agriculture Center
As Tiryaki Agro, we have chosen the Muş Alparslan Agricultural Enterprise as the center for regenerative agriculture practices. The pilot program began on one thousand decares and will gradually expand to sixty thousand decares, making it the largest regenerative agriculture project in Turkey. This initiative aims to improve productivity with minimal intervention while enriching soil nutrients and optimizing the use of agricultural inputs such as fertilizers. By planting cover crops during non cultivation periods, we prevent the soil from remaining idle and maintain a sustainable production cycle.
Certified Seeds
Through our production areas across Turkey and our high quality certified seed operations, we make a strategic contribution to national agriculture. We are one of the leading seed producers in Turkey, and eighty five percent of our seed production takes place at the Muş Alparslan Agricultural Enterprise. Each year, we produce around thirteen thousand five hundred tons of certified wheat seeds on sixty thousand decares of land in Muş. With successful varieties such as Odeska Krasunia and Odeska Syrena, we contribute to agricultural productivity throughout the country. In addition, as Tiryaki Crop Products, we carry out contract seed production on twelve thousand decares in Konya and three thousand decares in Tekirdağ. Our portfolio includes seven wheat and three barley varieties that enhance agricultural diversity and adapt to different climates and soil conditions, giving farmers a wide range of options.
Livestock Farming
In two thousand twenty five, we plan to start cattle farming with five hundred and fifty head of livestock for red meat production. The natural fertilizer obtained from livestock will be used in our regenerative agriculture projects, completing the integration of all areas of our agricultural operations.
