Astana, 24 September 2025. The groundbreaking ceremony of an integrated agro-industrial investment has taken place in Kazakhstan, reflecting a commitment to redefining agricultural value chains through innovation and sustainability.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin participated in the groundbreaking ceremony and launch of construction of an integrated agro-industrial complex for the deep grain and pulses processing.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov, Minister of Industry and Construction Yersaiyn Nagaspayev, Astana Mayor Zhenis Kasymbek, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alibek Kuantyrov, Vice Minister of Agriculture Yermek Kenzhekhanuly, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Kazakhstan – H.E. Mr. Mustafa Kapucu and many others.
The project is being implemented by Kazak Protein, a company founded by the Turkish holding company Tiryaki Agro Holding and the Kazakh companies Grain Consortium of Kazakhstan LLP and ADOtex LLP. The total investment is $320 million, and approximately 400 new jobs will be created. Completion of the two construction phases is scheduled for the year 2028.
The agro-industrial complex will consist of two phases: the first phase, for deep wheat processing, is scheduled for completion in 2027, while the second, for deep pulses processing, will be completed in 2028. The processing capacity will be 250,000 tons of wheat and 80,000 tons of pulses per year.
The final products will include gluten, starch, lysine, compound feed, as well as plant based protein isolate and other high-value-added products. Products will be supplied to the domestic market and exported to North America, the CIS, the European Union, and Southeast Asia.
Suleyman Tiryakioğlu, CEO of Tiryaki Agro Holding, said: “ The launch of construction of this agro-industrial complex is an important step not only for Kazakhstan but for the entire agricultural industry. Through this project, we aim to redefine agricultural value chains with innovation and sustainability by establishing a modern production facility in Kazakhstan that will generate high-value-added products demanded both domestically and internationally. This pioneering project will diversify the country’s exports, elevate grain and legume processing to a new level, and open new markets for Kazakhstani farmers. In doing so, it will secure sustainable demand for their products while contributing to the creation of a more resilient, innovative, and globally connected agri-food sector. We are honored to realize this investment in close cooperation with the Government of Kazakhstan, in alignment with the aspirations of this esteemed nation.”
